Scope
This policy describes the BeekeeperOS marketing website, Early Access signup and related communications. The service is focused on the United States. Separate application or beta notices may provide additional details when you are invited to use the product.
Information we collect
You may provide your name, email address, hive count or stage, form responses, tester interest, marketing-consent choice and correspondence. Please avoid sensitive personal information in free-text responses. Wix and other providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, logs, cookies and similar identifiers to deliver, secure and maintain the site. Email services may record delivery, subscription, confirmation and interaction information.
How we use information
We use information to manage Early Access interest, respond to requests, understand product needs, consider volunteers for testing, record consent, send communications consistent with your choices, protect against abuse and maintain or improve our services. Signing up does not create a product account or guarantee beta access.
Wix and other service providers
Wix currently hosts this site and provides form, contact and email tools. Providers may process information for hosting, delivery, security, support and other necessary services. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or support a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell your email address.
Email choices
Tester interest and marketing consent are separate, optional choices. Marketing consent is not prechecked and uses an email confirmation step. Signup confirmations and responses to your requests are distinct from marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing using the email link or contact hello@beekeeperos.com to update your choices.
Cookies and future analytics
Hosting and embedded services may use cookies or similar technologies for site operation, security and functionality. We do not currently use Google Analytics. If we add analytics or other providers, we will update relevant notices and provide choices or obtain consent where required. Browser settings can limit cookies, although some features may be affected.
Your records
You retain ownership of the content and hive records you enter. BeekeeperOS uses those records as needed to host, process, display, analyze, maintain, operate and improve the service, consistent with applicable terms and privacy notices. We may use aggregated or de-identified information for service improvement and analysis, with reasonable measures to prevent identification.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including consent records, security and legal obligations. We review information for deletion or de-identification when it is no longer needed. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage system or internet transmission is completely secure. Keep your own copies of important records where relevant.
Your requests
Contact hello@beekeeperos.com to request access, correction or deletion, or ask about privacy. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required or permitted by law. We will respond consistent with applicable requirements. This U.S.-focused site and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
Children
The site and service are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact hello@beekeeperos.com so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion.
